Banquet Tables

Banqueting tables are pieces of furniture that are traditionally used in dining or banqueting situations. These tables may be used by commercial operations or may be used at home every regularly or every now and then. In some cases these tables will be larger than standard dining tables. In others they may be actually be smaller or of a similar size but can be used with other tables to create a larger surface as necessary.

Some people will simply use this kind of table at home as an alternative to a regular dining room or kitchen table. Others may have them at home but may not use their banqueting tables regularly at all. They may keep them folded down or stored away in the garage, for example, and will bring them out for use when they have a lot of people coming to dinner or when they are throwing a party.

It is also common to find banqueting tables used by restaurants, hotels and venues. A hotel, for example, may keep a stock of tables ready for events such as weddings and meetings. These tables can then be set up in a room or area, covered with tablecloths and then set to be ready for the event.

Due to the way that they are used many banqueting tables can be folded down for easy storage. Many come with metal legs and a built in folding mechanism. People or venues that need to have a lot of these kinds of tables on site generally have to keep them stored away when they aren't being used so this simply allows them to be put away without the need for much space.

Banqueting tables can come in a range of shapes and sizes. The smallest tables available here may simply be suitable for seating a few people at a time. Larger options (or tables that can be fitted together) can potentially seat a lot more people at once.

Generally, banqueting tables will either be round or square shaped. In some cases the quality of finish on the top of the table may not be as good as you are used to seeing in regular dining tables. This is often based on the fact that the top of these tables are often hidden under tablecloths so it may never be really seen. Some banqueting tables, however, do look to be of a higher quality.
